Illustration Friday: Fuel

Medium: Digital, and scanned brown paper.

For this week's Illustration Friday (fuel), I wanted to go with a cartoon about fuel. What other way to express fuel than with dinosaurs. They are after all our energy source and our means of oil/gas/fuel.

I was inspired to do a cartoon illustration like this after seeing Pat Byrnes' work in "What would SATAN do?." He's one of my favorite cartoon artists and althought I don't draw or illustrate like him, I wanted to try doing some cartoony type of stuff myself. Hope you liked it, kinda took me forever to figure something funny like.

Illustration Friday: Mysterious

Medium: Digital

This week’s word for illustration friday is mysterious. So who other to do Mysterious than Shaggy from Scooby Doo? I grew up watching the show, and He and Scooby were my favorite characters. This is a dedication to him. The mediums I used was all digital. Being my first time doing digital drawing hope you enjoy it.

Illustration Friday: contraption

Medium: Digital

I wanted to stray away from fables and stories for a bit, and do something more me. I went with a Clockwork Android-et. I find the brain to be complex and fascinating, so my first instinct was to make a clockwork brain. I once again wanted to try new digital techniques.

Well I'm not sure what to say anymore so I hope you enjoyed.

In this Illustration Friday, I went with little mermaid grown up to become a siren. This was also my first time doing a digital painting. I was inspired on doing this piece due to the Grimm fairy tales, and mythology of having Sirens luring sailors, but instead of making bird women I used a Mermaid due to the story "Little Mermaid" since she had a beautiful like a Siren herself.

I enjoy getting some critiques so then I could become a better artist.
